Tays Inc. seeks a Database Engineer in Baltimore, MD. May work at additional unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
Duties:

Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.

Gather and communicate data capture requirements for new and existing customer facing platforms.

Conduct end-to-end analysis across all the data points, including data gathering from complex datasets.

Drive the generation of insights from raw, unstructured data to improve existing features and explore future directions.

Create new metrics for performance measurement and advocate for changes to existing metrics where needed.

Develop and maintain complex Tableau dashboards, aggregating data from multiple data sources. Support Tableau developers by writing complex SQL queries and providing easily query able datasets in the form of Tableau extracts and data sources.

Ensue proper functional of all data pipelines and dashboards/reports.

Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Develop and maintain data modeling and architect that supports Tableau.

Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.

Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.

Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.

Research and conduct data manipulation involving data extractions, data matching between multiple systems, transformations, cleansing, and loading.

Perform complex data manipulation and statistical analysis, involving structured and unstructured data.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a data scientist/technical occupation.

Requires one year of experience with each of the following: 1. Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Soap UI, Strawberry Perl, Open Text, MS Project, ADOBE Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, and Rfxcel. 2. SAP consulting from Implementation, Enhancements, Support, Role out, Testing and providing business solutions in the functional area of Sales & Distribution and integration with FI and MM modules. 3. Process improvement, and project scope definition, blue printing, gap analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, full life cycle implementation and support. 4. Change Management process using SNOW, SMR for creating CR, NC and RFC. 5. Unit Testing, integration testing and providing Go-Live support. 6. Tableau dashboards development. 7. Write Complex SQL queries. 8. Complex data manipulation and statistical analysis.
40 hours/week, $124,738 – 134,738 per year. Standard Benefits offered.
